The Bollon Community Clinic became a part of the South West Hospital and Health Service on 1 July, 2014. It is now classified as a community clinic rather than an outpatients clinic under new guidelines for rural and remote health facilities.

The Bollon Community Clinic offers nurse-led clinics from Monday to Friday and an on-call service to the local area for emergency situations.

A visiting general practitioner from St George hosts a medical clinic on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Appointments can be made through the Bollon Community Clinic.

The clinic hosts a suite of regular visiting community and allied health clinics, including social work, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, child health clinics, women’s health clinics and mental health services.

The Bollon Community Clinic can provide financial assistance through the Patient Travel Subsidy Scheme to eligible patients who need to travel away to other health services for procedures and tests that are not available in the area.

The clinic provides in-home nursing services for local people who need extra assistance to live independently in their homes and who are eligible for the Home and Community Care (HACC) program.

In late 2014, the South West Hospital and Health Service repaired and painted the ceilings at the clinic and the attached residence.

Work began in early 2015 to upgrade the communications and technology infrastructure at the clinic, which will enable local patients to link with other facilities via telehealth services. It will also improve the efficiency of network connections required for daily business.
